Q: What is FleaFall?
A: FleaFall is a fast, skill based, non-violent
multiplayer game with fun little fleas and bright big
levels. If you would like to know how to play
FleaFall you can download it free [here],
or read more [here]
Q: Can I make my own levels?
A: Yes! If you now own your
Champion Edition copy, you can
create levels, save them in the
levels folder and play them in
multiplayer games! For more
details of how to make levels
go to our [make levels] page
Q: I get a memory access error
when I try to play the Champion edition, how
can I fix it?
A: Move your mouse to an empty
area of your desktop and click the right mouse
button. Select -Properties- from the menu list.
You should now see the Display properties window.
Select the -Settings- Tab at the top right.
Now change the color quality setting. (e.g. if it
says 16bit change it to 32 and if it says 32 bit
change it to 16). Restart the game and it should
work perfectly.
Q: Why does the game hang
when I select "Internet Game"
A: You are probably running
Zone Alarm. The game is waiting for you to
respond to a request it has made. Simply
hit "Y" on your keyboard twice and the game
should continue to run. You might need to refocus
on the FleaFall window, which you can do by
clicking on it. It might also be a
good idea to update ZoneAlarm. Alternatively
you can go to options and run the game in
Windowed mode as this also fixes the problem.
Q: Can I run LAN (Local Area Network) Games?
A: Yes, "Internet Game" will work on a LAN just as
well as it does on the Internet, the two are the same as
far as setting them up goes.
Q: My Friend is running a host, but I cannot
see it in my Lobby screen, why?
A: If you or your friend are behind a corporate Firewall
it may be set up so that it will not allow you to talk to each
other via UDP packets. You will still be able to play LAN games
inside the Firewall, but you will not see anyone outside of it.
Talk to your IT department and see if they will grant you
special permissions.
Q: My game hangs with a strange error message,
what has happened?
A: The chances are you are on a computer that
cannot play sound. We are trying to sort this problem out
now
Q: In the lobby screen (in internet game), I get a
message about UDP and only local games available, what is
happening?
A: Chances are your port is blocked by another program.
Try turning off all file sharing programs. If you are behind
a firewall, check the settings and if possible talk to your IT
department about letting you through.
Q: Is there a manual for FleaFall?
A: FleaFall has up-to-date information
shipped with it in the version.txt file.
There will also be a more comprehensive
manual available on-line soon.
